The cruel vine has strangled more than lemon trees in our yard, creating a canopy that starves trees of all sunlight.
It has grown back from whatever trunk of root that remained in the ground. The dispersement of seeds from high tree tops has facilities a wide area of new sprouts. Doing our best to stay ahead of the "body snatcher" plant.
Wondering if there is any evidence of medicinal properties.U

I have the menace growing close by my lemon tree, fortunately not over it. I removed the pods but unfortunately I disposed of them incorrectly and it appears that I have exacerbated the problem further. I live in west Auckland and it is a huge problem here.

Thanks so much for the information! Because of that, I identified this very early and it will be no problem to pull it out before it causes so much trouble for my beautiful lemon tree!
