I agree with keeping the butterfly bush. I have lots of pollinator attractors and so many host plants for lots of butterflies but the butterfly bush is a big favorite! I’ve been seeing in my various FB pages (native plant societies etc) about NOT planting buddleia but I won’t pull it out.

I, too, have these on my butterfly bush in Davis and love seeing them. They now sell seedless varieties of butterfly bush for anyone worrying it will escape, although I have not seen that to be a problem here. Here is a nice link with info although its skewed to the cold midwest winters.
