This is really interesting. If you ever need new places to test your theories, Nevada Irrigation District (in Grass Valley) is looking for alternatives to using the aquatic version of Roundup on the banks of their ditches. They have set up about 20 test plots to try several different types of weed control and a portable steamer (for lack of a better term) was one of them. They also tried something like a sandblaster that uses walnut shells. So far neither works very well, but their still looking.
If anyone is interested in partnering with a great company in a real-world scenario, have them get a hold of Chip Close with NID at (530) 273-6185.
