Good Work Phoebe, and I think you are on the right track. Alkali weed can be managed but as your research finds, there is no single product or treatment that can provide season long control. Managing this weed will require a season-long spray program.

I to have worked for a couple of years on this weed and found 2,4-D is the most effective followed by glyphosate. However, I'm surprised you did not include any of the PPOs in your research. I've found that the combination of 2,4-D + Venue 4 fl oz (could also be Shark, or Treevix) + COC worked fantastic. I was getting 100% burndown and much less regrowth. The combinations of glyphosate + Venue also looked very good (over 90% control) and could be used as a rotational treatment. PPOs do provide excellent burndown activity but the weed regrows rather fast if we don't include the systemic 2,4D or glyphosate.

I hope you'd consider including the PPO herbicides in your next evaluations.

Best of luck!
