Tree Lodi planted a Platinus racemosa 'Roberts' at our Lodi Lake park with hopes that it might do better than the numerous Platinus acerfolia at same lake. Almost all the sycamores surrounding the lake exhibit the shepherd's hook symptoms after years of continuous disease. The Roberts cultivar had a brief bout of anthracnose this last wet spring, but recovered quickly and is doing well. I believe several various cultivars are claimed to be more resistant than species sycamore. Pictures are available if intrested.
