Colleagues,

After an extensive open search, I am pleased to announce the appointment of Bethanie Brown as Executive Director – Human Resources for UC Agriculture and Natural Resources, effective December 1, 2024. Bethanie has been with the University of California for 25 years, 14 years of which have been with ANR. Most recently she served as Chief Human Resources Officer & Interim Executive Director since March 2021.

Bethanie has done a great job representing ANR Human Resources at the university systemwide level. Most notably, in the last three years she helped navigate ANR through one of our most challenging times, and one of our highest growth periods. During this time, Bethanie has skillfully provided strategic vision and leadership to meet organizational objectives.

Please join me in congratulating Bethanie on her well-deserved and hard-earned appointment as ANR Executive Director of Human Resources. We look forward to working with her as she continues to provide leadership and expertise for ANR.
