As people in the Los Angeles area face devastating fires, we'd like to ensure that members of the UC ANR community know about the numerous emergency resources available to them. We invite you to reach out to your colleagues with a reminder that UC has a variety of resources available to help.
Please see the attached for specific resources shared by UC's benefits plans for those impacted by the Southern California fires.
Emergency resources from UC's benefits plans on UCnet provides high-level information about the support and accommodations available, from emergency supplies of essential prescriptions to access to voluntary retirement savings plan funds. The page also includes links to state and nonprofit emergency resources.
Emotional support resources are available regardless of whether employees are enrolled in UC benefits, including support through your Faculty and Staff Assistance Program. In addition, Optum Behavioral Health is opening its Optum Public Crisis line for two calendar weeks, starting on January 8, to support anyone impacted. Individuals can call 1-866-447-3573, Monday through Friday, 8 a.m. to 6 p.m. PT, or visit yousupported.com for resources.
Please let us know if you have any questions about how to access support resources.
