As either an employee or a retiree of the University of California, you have access to a wide range of benefits. The University has launched a comprehensive website at UCNet Benefits to help you explore these resources.
While health and retirement benefits are critical components, there are also many other benefits to access, such as disability, training, leave protection, discounts, insurance and more.
At Your Service | UC Path
At Your Service Online (AYSO) is a comprehensive employee self-service Web site through which employees can access benefits and payroll information and update personal data. You may also access this same service via UC Path Dashboard
- Review and update personal information
- Update security preferences
- Enroll and view current benefit enrollments
- Select beneficiaries
- Access payroll information, including earning statements and W-2’s
- Calculate and update tax withholding specification (W-4)
- Obtain employment verification
- View retirement and investment information
- Perform retirement estimates for future planning
- Access other informational Web sites
Medical Benefits
UC offers a wide selection of medical plan options. Find information about UC-sponsored medical plans (including dental and vision), eligibility, your costs, enrolling and de-enrolling, plus links to medical plan carriers' websites at Health and Welfare Benefits.
You have great benefits as a UC employee or retiree. So, when you need to use them, make sure you know what steps to take and when to take them. Take a look at the Using Your Benefits page on the UCNet website to find “roadmaps” for using your benefits when you have a major life change – like getting married or adopting a child – or when you need to do something as simple as changing your address.

New Employees:
The New Employee Guide is your step-by-step guide to benefits at the University of California. Remember, you have only 31 days from your first day at work (or the first day of an appointment that makes you newly eligible for benefits) to enroll in your health and welfare benefits. To enroll, log into At Your Service Online (AYSO).
Retirement
UC offers comprehensive retirement benefits to help you build a financially secure future. To begin your retirement benefits, search please start with Retirement and Savings Plan which will cover such topics as:

You can also go to https://www.myucretirement.com/ for more information about retirement. They have various informational articles, tools, calculators, and services that will help you plan for retirement.
New UC Employees: For help with electing your Retirement choice (either Pension Choice or Savings Choice), please refer to the step-by-step "Electing for Retirement Choice" guide. Remember, you have 90 days from your retirement option eligibility date to choose a primary retirement benefit. If you don’t choose a primary retirement option, you automatically will be enrolled in Pension Choice at the end of the 90-day period.
When You're Ready to Retire
The mission of the UC Retirement Administration Service Center (RASC) is to build a state-of-the-art retirement processing center and service experience that helps employees transition to the next phase of their lives.
