KARE to host Spray Application Short Course Nov 12-14

UC Agriculture and Natural Resources will host its first San Joaquin Valley Spray Application Short Course Nov. 12-14 at the Kearney Agricultural Research and Extension Center in Parlier.

Anyone involved with spray application operations including supervisors, vineyard or orchard managers, growers, owners and PCAs are invited to attend this intensive three-day short course on spray application research and extension led by UC Cooperative Extension specialist Peter Larbi.

Registration includes two in-classroom lecture days and one outdoor, hands-on demonstration day as well as materials and meals. The full agenda is at https://ucanr.edu/sites/SJVSprayApplication/Agenda.

Goals/objectives:

·         Teach participants about improving agricultural productivity while reducing the impact of pesticides and other agricultural chemicals on the environment.

·         Share knowledge of best practices for safe, economical, and environmentally sound pesticide spray application.

The price has been reduced to $400. Anyone who registered before Oct. 29 will be reimbursed the difference in cost.
