How to Enroll in Benefits - New Hires (brand new to UC)
Once your new hire paperwork is processed in UCPath, you will receive a UC employee ID number to set up your UC log-in. You can then access UCPath and enroll for benefits online. For further instructions on how to enroll in benefits using UCPath, click here. Please note, a UC log-in is needed to view the webpage.
How to Enroll in Benefits – If transferring from another UC campus to ANR:
- Before your onboarding, Academic Human Resources will contact your transferring campus to request your personnel records, including your current benefits enrollment.
- Once your transfer is processed in UCPath, please visit the UCPath system to elect the same benefits if eligibility has not changed or change your benefit selections if your eligibility has changed. If assistance is needed with making a selection, please contact the UC Davis Benefits Office at benefits@ucdavis.edu. If you were eligible for full benefits at the leaving campus, your enrollment with UC benefits and UCRP will transfer to your new position with ANR.

Making a Retirement Choice
UC offers eligible employees hired July 1, 2016 and after, a choice of primary retirement benefits. Participation in one of the options is required, and employees have 90 days from the hire date to make a choice. Please visit Your UC Retirement Benefits to learn more about the new UC Retirement Choice Program. Refer to the Steps for Electing Pension Choice or Saving Choice to enroll in the Retirement Choice Program.
