“Essential Facilitation” training available

Shelley Murdock and Ellie Rilla will offer “Essential Facilitation” training June 15-17 at the ANR Building in Davis. The training will be three full days and the participant must be committed to participate in the training the full three days. “Essential Facilitation” is open to all UC-ANR academics and staff. The interactive workshop has a minimum session size of 10 people, with a maximum of 14.

The cost for the “Essential Facilitation” Training and related travel expenses are being covered by UC ANR funds and coordinated through the ANR Training Coordination Advisory Committee.

The workshop will give participants practical, proven models and tools for planning and conducting effective meetings through an interactive format that includes a comprehensive manual, practice sessions, discussion and video feedback. Participants will learn and practice a facilitated approach for building understanding and agreement among people. The knowledge gained from this training will contribute to participants’ professional growth and the Division will benefit from the individual’s increased capabilities, confidence and skill levels.
