Second Street Building open Nov. 19

The UC ANR Second Street Building in Davis will re-open on a limited basis on Monday, Nov. 19.  The air quality forecasts show improvement since last week, and we continue to monitor the situation.

We encourage Second Street employees to work remotely to the extent possible, and to use phone or Zoom for scheduled meetings. Anyone who needs to reach employees based in the UC ANR building in Davis should try emailing if they don't answer the phone.

The building doors will remain locked during the day to reduce the amount of bad air that comes into the building. You will need to use a key fob to enter the building. Risk & Safety Services has a limited supply of N95 respirators and will provide training and a respirator to any employees in the building who have a need.

We appreciate everyone's dedication and flexibility during this unprecedented emergency. More improvement in air quality is expected each day this week. We will send an update about the status of the building by 6 p.m. on Monday.
