Recipe sounds great. For some reason, I am intimated by pickle-making. I think I just need to dig in and give it a try. Thanks for your blog posts!

No need to be intimidated here--just use the recipe as written and store in the fridge. If you do not like garlic, leave it out; if you love it, add more. Red Pepper too hot for you-leave it out. Not hot enough? put more in.  
 
This a great, easy and safe way to start out with pickle-making. Please give it a try, perhaps for Thanksgiving?
