ANR Adventures

Happy New Year! I hope 2020 and this new decade is good to all! It seems like it has been a while since we last worked. While vacation is always a nice change in pace, I'm glad to be back to work with all of you.

I am in DC for a few days this week to meet with Extension Directors and partners, including the new NIFA National Science Liaisons. These are the NIFA employees who stayed behind in DC while the rest of NIFA headquarters relocated to Kansas City a few months ago.

Mentally, I am exhausted. The week started with a couple of excellent meetings on the Berkeley campus. Then came a full day at the UC ANR Governing Council where we had a lively and productive conversation about UC ANR's public value statements, our partnerships, and our statewide programs.

Here comes the rain. And, here comes the start of the holidays. You would think the week would be slow. Not so. There's much to be completed before the long weekend. I won't finish it all by Wednesday.
