On Aug. 8, 2020, President Trump signed an executive order for U.S. employers to have the option to defer the collection of employee payroll taxes through Dec. 31, 2020. Two weeks ago, the Internal Revenue Service issued guidance on this optional program.

The California Institute for Water Resources invites submission of proposals to be considered for funding that will begin March 1, 2021. This year, proposals are requested in the Junior Investigator category only. Funding is for up to two years.

Carvalho named UCCE feedlot management specialist Pedro Carvalho joined UC ANR as a UC Cooperative Extension feedlot management specialist in the UC Davis Department of Animal Science, located in Imperial County, on Aug. 1, 2020.
