Learning Landscape - Spring has Sprung

California poppy (EschscholziaCalifornica) and Crocosmia (a member of the Iris family)

Spring has sprung in the Master Gardener Demo Garden! The garden is waking up and there is lots of colors and textures sprouting up all over. The Red hot poker (Kniphofia) has been out in all its glory, and the California poppy (EschscholziaCalifornica) and Crocosmia (a member of the Iris family) are showing their vibrant colors. The 'Orange Rocket' barberry (Berberis thunbergii 'Orange Rocket') is a beautiful shade of red right now in the Foliage Garden. The Jerusalem sage (Phlomis fruticosa) is just starting to push out its beautiful yellow blooms in the Mediterranean Garden.
