Nutrition News in the Butte Cluster

Over the past year, UC CalFresh Butte Cluster in collaboration with community partners, and school site staff, parents and volunteers has executed several new stencil and mural projects at school sites in Butte, Glenn, Colusa, Sutter and Yuba Counties.

This fun Walk to School event started off as a one-time event in October of 2016 to promote safe walks to school during National Walk to School Week. Cross walks were painted all along Las Plumas Avenue and signs were posted to indicate them.

Today I had the opportunity to partner with Elizabeth Smith from Kidding Around Yoga to offer a fun-filled workshop at the Community Memorial Museum of Sutter County on healthy eating and active living for families and caregivers with children ages 0-5.
