We’re excited to share that Camila Quintana Del Carpio joined our team in September as the new Forest Advisor serving Shasta, Siskiyou, and Trinity Counties.
Camila is a Registered Professional Forester (RPF #3192) and licensed Pest Control Advisor (PCA) with seven years of hands-on experience in California forestry. She holds a B.S. in Forestry and Environmental Science from UC Berkeley and recently completed a Master of Forest Resources at the University of Georgia, with an emphasis on Forest Business. Her education and experience bridge on-the-ground forest management with the business and economic realities of forestry today.
After graduating from UC Berkeley in 2018, Camila worked in both industrial and consulting forestry roles across Northern California. Her early fieldwork included timber marking, watercourse flagging, and carbon cruising, and later expanded into managing a 168,000-acre reforestation program. She became a licensed PCA and RPF in 2022 and continues to bring a strong focus on reforestation, forest health, and collaboration.
Camila is actively involved in the forestry community through organizations such as the Forest Vegetation Management Conference and the California Forest Pest Council, where she has helped lead fundraising efforts and chaired the annual in-woods tour. As a first-generation immigrant and a Spanish speaker, she is especially passionate about building inclusive connections within California’s forestry workforce.
She is looking forward to working with forest landowners, professional foresters, agencies, and community members interested in forest and natural resource management across the region.
