Plant me as - a bulb
When to plant me - early to late fall (late September to November)
Where to plant me – in full sun, otherwise I won’t bloom.
Plant me – 6" deep in the ground, a large pot, or a raised bed and feed me with an all-purpose bulb fertilizer
How to care for me - keep my soil moist while I'm growing but do not water me during summer or my bulb may rot!
How/when to harvest me – you can cut my flowers to use in bouquets.
Help me grow! – After blooming finishes, allow my green leaves to die back – fold them over into a “ponytail” while they are green to keep them looking tidy. My leaves will send nutrients back to my bulb so I can bloom again next year. Once the leaves are brown, you can remove them.
Protect me from – snails, slugs, and leaf feeding caterpillars
