Summer is here, and so is the Stanislaus County Fair! It starts Friday, July 10, and ends on Sunday, July 19, 2026.

Stop by our UC Master Gardener booth inside the Floriculture Building, located just inside the fairgrounds near the Arch Gate off 900 North Broadway in Turlock.
Free Seed Packets
Talk to our volunteers about your gardening and pest management questions and take home a free packet of seeds. Kids will enjoy picking out fun mushroom stickers and temporary invasive insect “tattoos” from the Buy it Where You Burn It campaign. This campaign educates campers about the importance of using local wood while camping to prevent the spread of invasive insects. Read more at https://www.dontmovefirewood.org/
Have a Pest Problem?
Browse through our UC IPM Quick Tips cards and pick up free brochures on common pests like mosquitoes, cockroaches, ants, gophers, carpet beetles, and more! Some of these cards also feature beneficial insects, such as lady beetles (aka ladybugs) and predators such as common garden spiders; both are helpful in gardens.
