Mighty oaks from little acorns grow (From old proverb) I love to stroll under the shade of majestic Valley oak trees in the oak woodland riparian habitat along the Stanislaus River at Caswell State Park in Ripon.

Are you on the fence about becoming a UCCE Stanislaus County Master Gardener? We encourage you to apply so you can learn more about the program. You'll receive an invitation to our orientation meetings (one held in the morning, the other in the evening) when you can decide if you want to interview.

There's still time to apply to become a UCCE Stanislaus County Master Gardener. The deadline has been extended until September 3, 2021. We plan to hold the weekly training classes on Thursdays, starting January 20, 2022 from 8:30 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. ending on May 26, 2022*.

Due to unforeseen circumstances, we are postponing our class in Spanish that was scheduled for August 24, 2021. We hope to have a new date soon. There's still time to register for our class in English on August 31 at 6:00 p.m. The class will be held outdoors in a shady spot near Harvest Hall.
