UC Weed Science (weed control, management, ecology, and minutia)

In the 5 years I've been with UCCE, I have received a few recurring weed-related questions. I've certainly had some unique requests, like how to deal with fig trees invading a livestock water pipeline, or whether filaree might be harmful to guinea pigs (it isn't).

Aaron Alvarez, a Master's student in Kassim Al-Khatib's Lab at UC Davis, is the recipient of the 2021 D. Marlin Brandon Rice Research Fellowship. Aaron's work focuses on herbicide research in California rice production systems.
