As a recent Master Gardener trainee, our very first class was on Introduction to Horticulture. It is here that I learned about Binominal Classification System, meaning two names and this nomenclature contains NO COMMON NAMES.
You've all heard of the past outbreaks of e-coli in romaine lettuce and other past cases of contaminated leafy greens. The contaminants of those commercially grown leafy greens can also contaminate leafy greens you grow in your garden if you are not careful.
Here we are, each of us in our own little cocoon, creating a new normalat least for a while. The perfect antidote to our new existence is to be surrounded by the comfort and beauty of our own gardens.
I was pleasantly surprised to find Myanmar rich in village culture. Since I was there during the same trip I was in Cambodia, where Angkor Wat dominated, I wasn't sure what to expect.
