Statewide YFC program org chart unveiled
The organizational chart for the new Statewide Youth, Families and Communities Program has been released. The new program encompasses the administration and leadership for the 4-H Youth Development Program (4-H YDP) and Expanded Food and Nutrition Education Program (EFNEP), as well as other ANR youth, nutrition, family and community programs.

Sharon Junge returns to retirement in March
Sharon Junge, interim statewide 4-H Youth Development Program director and Healthy Families and Communities (HFC) Strategic Initiative leader, will end her recall from ANR retirement in March. In addition to a distinguished ANR career, Junge has provided critical leadership to ANR and spearheading organizational shifts and transitions including the newly created Youth, Families and Communities (YFC) statewide program, serving on Program Council and leading the development and organization of the HFC strategic plan and conference. The Healthy Families and Communities Strategic Initiative draft plan was updated on Sept. 15. Please submit your comments on this updated plan by Sept. 23. Each of the subcommittees has worked to incorporate the many thoughtful comments made at the recent HFC conference.

The draft strategic plan for the Healthy Families and Communities Strategic Initiative is posted on the HFC website http://ucanr.org/sites/HFC/ and can be directly accessed at http://ucanr.org/sites/HFC/files/41677.pdf.
Academic staff associated with the HFC initiative should review the draft plan before the HFC Strategic Initiative Conference, which will be held Aug. 24 - 26 at the UC Davis Conference Center.
