ANR employees and vaccine availability
As the state, county, and other providers continue to increase distribution of COVID-19 vaccines, information and guidance about allocation of vaccines and how to get vaccinated is evolving. At this time, most areas of the state are in Phase 1B of the vaccine strategy, meaning that as supplies allow, vaccines are being provided for the following groups: Individuals 65 or older and workers in the following sectors: Agriculture and food, Education and childcare, Emergency services.
Based on the state's current vaccination strategy, entities such as UC will not receive vaccine that is exclusively dedicated for employees. Rather, UC's vaccination efforts on some...
Dear colleagues, friends and stakeholders,
Great news! Governor Newsom, in agreement with the state legislative leadership, has announced full restoration of UC's budget for the next fiscal year. This was part of the UC Regent's budget request this year, and we are thrilled to see it moving forward. For UC ANR, that means the 12.7% cut we sustained in FY 2020/21 will be restored, bringing our budget back to pre-COVID levels for FY 2021/22.
The ink has yet to dry on this agreement, so we still have work to do and we need your help. Will you thank the Legislature for their support and ask that they continue to support critical investments in UC ANR?
There are two upcoming budget...
It's been quite a year, but one thing that hasn't changed is the need to assess our contributions to the organization. The ePerformance module in UCPath will be opened for the performance period of April 1, 2020, through March 31, 2021, for all non-represented staff.

An email will be generated to both you and your supervisor from UCPath-Notifications when your performance document is canceled. No action needs to be taken on your part at this time. Please disregard the email.
If you or your supervisor submitted an ePerformance document in UCPath last year and you received the...

Update on DEI Advisory Council
This month I appointed 11 UC ANR employees to an initial two-year term as founding members of the Diversity, Equity and Inclusion (DEI) Advisory Council for UC Agriculture and Natural Resources. The group began meeting to consider the Council's role and structure in November; this appointment is effective retroactively from November 1, 2020, through October 31, 2022.
I am convening this advisory council to support DEI efforts that UC ANR staff and academics have undertaken to improve working environments within UC ANR, as well as to improve quality of life for marginalized populations living in the state of California. Diversity is one of our core values and...
