On Jan. 1, 2011, the previously established Business Operations Centers (at Davis and Kearney) will be consolidated into one center with current staff. Cherie McDougald, current chief administrative officer (CAO) of the Business Operations Center at Kearney, which serves Cooperative Extension county-based operations, will become director of the consolidated Business Operations Center. Nikki Humphreys, current CAO of the Business Operations Center at Davis, which serves statewide programs, EFNEP and ANR’s service units including the Research and Extension Centers - Administrative Office, will become associate director of the consolidated Business Operations Center.

The ANR Business Operations Center located in the ANR Building in Davis (BOC-D) provides consolidated financial services to most of the Statewide Programs, the Research & Extension Centers, as well as ANR administrative & service units located in Davis.
Key services provided by the BOC-D include financial processing of:
- Travel expense reports
- Entertainment expense reports
- Purchasing (including UCD purchasing card transactions)
- Business contracts/agreements
- Invoice/vendor payments
- Gift acceptance
- Cash collections
- General ledger review
- DaFIS account management

We understand people want contact information for the Business Operations Centers in Kearney and Davis. We have been working hard on identifying the specific individuals who will be performing the various functions. By June 1, we will publish a directory of ANR Business Operations Centers’ employees and which business processes they will be performing.

County directors to discuss fundraising
Don Klingborg will be holding conference calls with the county directors to discuss fundraising in the counties.
