ANR Learning & Development is sponsoring TWO “Crucial Conversations” trainings in spring 2017:
- Wednesday and Thursday, February 1-2, 2017, in Davis, at 2801 Second Street. On Wednesday, February 1, the training is from 8:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. and on Thursday, February 2, from 8 a.m. to 3 p.m.
- Wednesday and Thursday, April 26-27, 2017 at the South Coast REC in Irvine. On Wednesday, April 26, the training is from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. and on Thursday, April 27, from 8 a.m. to 3 p.m.
- You may also select “I can participate in either session” when you pre-register.

Are you a staff supervisor or manager who is ready for a leap in your professional development? If so, apply for the Management Skills Assessment Program (MSAP). The next MSAP will take place April 18-21, 2016, at the UCLA Conference Center in Lake Arrowhead.
This program is designed to assess the management skills of high-potential, early-career staff supervisors and managers for future leadership opportunities at the University of California (academics are not eligible).

The UC ANR Training Coordination Committee is sponsoring “Crucial Conversations” training on Tuesday and Wednesday, Nov. 3-4, 2015, in Davis. The training will be held from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. on Nov. 3 and from 8 a.m. to 3 p.m. on Nov. 4.
Training is open to all UC ANR academics, UC ANR staff employees and Cooperative Extension county-paid employees who have not taken the Crucial Conversations training in the past. All expenses related to the training (registration fee, travel, lodging, meals and training materials) will be reimbursed by ANR funds according to UC travel policy.

In honor of Worldwide GIS Day, the UC ANR Informatics and GIS Statewide Program (IGIS) is pleased to announce that it will be offering a series of four-hour-long GIS, remote sensing and GPS training workshops across California between January and June 2015.

A year ago Associate Vice President for Business Operations Kay Harrison Taber charged a new committee to guide the training coordination process, develop a comprehensive training calendar, and develop priority trainings for ANR academics and staff.
The committee is led by Linda Marie Manton of the Staff Personnel Unit, Kim Rodrigues of the Academic Personnel Unit, and Mike Poe from Communication Services and Information Technology. The Committee members represent several units in ANR with interests in internal training needs and resources to produce training materials.
