The Santa Barbara County 4-H program is asking the community to make donations in the next six weeks in order to qualify for two matching grant opportunities, according to the Santa Maria Times. The program hopes to generate $12,500 in private donations to the California 4-H Foundation by Sept. 30, which will then be matched by an equal amount from the Henry Mayo Newhall Foundation and $15,000 from the Edwin and Jeanne Woods Family Foundation.
