I have a question is this fruit still good for consumption? I also have an apricot tree don’t know the type! It gives lots of fruit this time of year, small but yummy! What I do know of the one I have is it’s dying I think! The outside bark is pealing and some branches have broken off. So just in case this starts to happen is it still edible?

Help Desk Response...it's still usually edible after cutting out the "mushy" parts. I haven't successfully kept an apricot tree several times... apricots seem to be touchy... and they have their own sets of problems... more guidance can be found at http://https://ucanr.edu/blogs/CCMGBlog/index.cfm?tagname=Apricot... don't hesitate to read the contact info at the bottom of the CCMG HOrT COCO link for 1 on 1 advice.

Thanks
