It's that time of year, when we're all trying to think of the perfect gift for the kids on our list.

Like others in the series, “Discovering Plants and Flowers” is very interactive. In this book, kids can search for wildflowers, ferns, grasses, seeds and more. The appealing part to any adult gifting the book is that readers learn basic plant science through activities that include scavenger hunts, a plant log, a real magnifying glass—and the big winner—stickers!
The book encourages kids to get outdoors and learn about the fascinating plants and flowers right in their own backyard, local park or field. This is the seventh book in the Backpack Explorer series. This one inspires the reader to become a junior naturalist in search of plant life that they might otherwise not even notice. It's designed as a take-along nature book and is loaded with activities, prompts and ideas. One can envision a group of kids working together to solve the mysteries of nature.
