Ongoing research

Youth ages 5-18 are invited to come make three jars of a jam or jelly of their choice (apple, strawberry, peach or grape), then take one home and enter the other two in the 2024 El Dorado County Fair! Bring your own fruit and the Master Food Preservers will provide everything else.

From jam samplings and pig greetings to beekeeping and gardening workshops, folks spread throughout the county to meet local farmers and learn about the hard work that goes into our groceries and goods.
