So much comes to fruition in our gardens during the month of August. Thus, it's a good idea to plan ahead to keep our late summer gardens perfect. Here are some gardening tips and tasks that will keep you and your plants, blooms and crops happy: Check citrus for heavy fruit set.

The UC Master Gardeners of Santa Barbara County invite you to join us for a free, in-person "Victory Vegetable Gardening for TRUE Beginners" series. The four-class series runs September 9, 16, 23, & 30, from 1 pm - 3 pm.

Have you seen any dead butterflies lately?

A pollinator garden's diverse plants and colorful blooms attract and help to support a variety of birds, butterflies, moths, and beneficial insects year-round. These visitors play a critical role in sustaining our ecosystem by helping our plants reproduce.

We are so proud of this year's Diamond Clover awardees. They've been developing their 4-H career for years to earn this award. We congratulate them for their commitment to and passion for the 4-H program. Each of the six awardees have dedicated over seven years of service and leadership to 4-H.
