You won't want to miss ecologist Sylvain Pincebourde's virtual seminar on climate change, hosted by the UC Davis Department of Entomology an Nematology.

A newly published book, Honey Bee Biology, authored by UC Davis honey bee scientist Brian Johnson, a leading expert on the behavior, genomics and evolution of honey bees, will be released June 6 by Princeton University Press.

Dear Colleagues, ****NIFA has announced the Smith-Lever Special Needs Competitive Grants Program (SLSNCGP) funding program to implement applied scientific programs that serve public needs in preparation for, during and after local or regional emergency situations.

Registration is underway for several classes offered by the UC Davis Bee Haven, located on Bee Biology Road, west of the central campus. All classes, taught by Haven manager Christine Casey, are offered as either remote ($25 registration) or hybrid remote/in-person ($40 registration).

You can never have too many legs. Following on the heels of its 2022 open house on "Eight-Legged Wonders," the Bohart Museum of Entomology will showcase spiders, millipedes, centipedes, scorpions, tarantulas and isopodsand moreat its open house themed Many-Legged Wonders on Saturday, March 18.

A previous blog post advertised the Nutrient Management Alternatives meeting for later this month, but given the weather conditions and the high likelihood that the field and the parking around the field will likely still be wet, the meeting has been moved to Tuesday April 18th, 2023.
