The Capital Asset Form (downloadable) is for use on Requisitions when purchasing or trading in a capital asset.
- The Capital Asset Form should be filled out and attached when you’re submitting a requisition (a purchase request).
- It applies specifically if you are:
- Buying a capital asset (typically high-value items like equipment, vehicles, or machinery), or
- Trading in an existing asset as part of a purchase.
So anytime the transaction involves something that will be tracked as a long-term asset rather than a regular expense, you’re expected to include that form.
