Orchard Management From A to Z/ Ojai
The Certified Master Gardeners tending the fruit orchard at the ARC Ojai Center are offering an Orchard management demonstration presentation. Join them as they share what they have learned about various aspects of orchard tree management care. Topics will include:
- Selection of Fruit Trees suited to Ojai
- Setting up and Tending "the Nursery"
- Soil Health
- Pruning
- Irrigation
- Fertilization
- Pest and Disease Management including use of companion planting, use of beneficial insects, trap plants, etc.
- Where to find "HELP" for your fruit tree problems
**There will be a few chairs but this class requires standing in the orchard for 2 hours. Please dress accordingly. Class will be canceled if it is raining.
