The Climate Smart Agriculture Program
The Climate Smart Agriculture Program is a team of Community Education Specialists that have historically provided technical assistance to local growers, for CDFA's Healthy Soils Program (HSP), State Water Efficiency and Enhancement Program (SWEEP), and Alternative Manure Management Program (AMMP). While we will continue to support local growers with their state-funded grant projects, we will also be providing technical assistance to organizations interested in apply for HSP or SWEEP Block Grant funding during this two-step proposal, and the awarded Block Grant Recipients (BGRs) that will likely be announced in early 2027.
Support We Can Offer
Our team will act as liaisons to CDFA OARS and will support this Block Grant opportunity in several ways. We will conduct outreach to engage with eligible entities that could apply for Block Grant funding. Additionally, we will assist with partnerships between potential BGRs and eligible Technical Assistance Provider (TAP) organizations. We will provide support for the concept and full proposal stages, including answering specific questions about the proposal sections, and providing feedback on completed proposals prior to submission.
