About the Event
This is a half-day workshop featuring expert-led presentations and field demonstrations focused on nozzle selection, configuration, spray delivery optimization, and emerging technologies in automatic nozzle systems. Specific emphasis will be placed on a novel nozzle selection technology developed at the Agricultural Application Engineering Lab at the University of California Agriculture and Natural Resources. This workshop will focus on axial and lateral sprays directed to tree and vine canopies.
Who Should Attend?
Ideal for orchard growers, farm managers, licensed applicators, and Pest Control Advisors (PCAs) looking to improve spray efficiency, coverage, and drift management in orchard systems. Custom applicators and spray operators will benefit from practical guidance on nozzle selection, spray quality, and real-world setup considerations. The program is also valuable for ag equipment dealers, manufacturers, extension personnel, researchers, and students interested in orchard spray technology and emerging application tools, including automatic nozzle selector systems.
What Will You Gain?
Attendees will gain research‑based knowledge, hands‑on exposure to nozzle comparisons, system design considerations, and field demonstrations, while earning requested DPR CEU credits. Whether you make spray decisions, recommend equipment, or support orchard operations, this workshop offers research‑based insights you can apply immediately in the field.
Continuing Education Units (CEUs)?
3.5 CEUs ('Other') has been requested from the California Department of Pesticide Regulation (DPR).
Register by May 26, 2026.
