Successful Strategies for Managing Garden Pests

Join the UCCE Master Gardeners of Amador County for an informative class on preventing and managing many of the numerous pests that make home gardening so challenging in the foothills. 

Master Gardeners will demonstrate and discuss safe and effective methods and materials for dealing with garden and landscape pests using Integrated Pest Management (IPM). 

IPM practices help solve pest problems while minimizing risks to people, pets and the environment. Class Objectives: 

•            Explain the effectiveness and sustainability of IPM practices

•            Provide tips and resources for pest identification

•            Demonstrate and discuss examples of biological, cultural, 

and chemical controls.
