Fall Planted Flower Bulbs
About the Event
Fall means time to dream about Spring blooms. Most flower bulbs are in one of two categories -fall planted-spring blooming or spring planted-summer blooming. Pamela McCabe, UC Master Gardener of Yolo County, will cover fall planted bulbs that perform well in Yolo County. She will provide guidance in how to decide which bulbs are best for landscaping and/or cut flowers and the differences in planting for each purpose. The workshop will include information on how to plant bulbs and care for them.
Pam McCabe has been a Yolo County Master Gardener since 2022. Her main gardening interest is growing cut flowers. In her previous home, she used spring blooming bulbs to bring bright color to her landscape. Since moving to Yolo County five years ago, her flower bulb growing has focused on production of cut flowers. Pam is on the board of the Davis Flower Arrangers.
This presentation is part of the Yolo County Library/UC Master Gardeners of Yolo County Series.
