We are excited to announce that Emma Hernandez joined the Nutrition Policy Institute on September 1, 2026 as a Student Communications Assistant. Emma is an undergraduate student at the University of California, Berkeley studying nutrition and public health. Emma is passionate about culturally competent nutrition education and working to improve food insecurity. She is also bilingual in English and Spanish. Emma will support NPI’s digital communications efforts, including developing content for our website, quarterly Evidence for Policy email news brief, and LinkedIn and Bluesky social media accounts.
