Camila Quintana Del Carpio is an experienced Registered Professional Forester (RPF), licensed Pest Control Advisor (PCA), and graduate of the University of California, Berkeley and University of Georgia. She brings a wide breadth of skills from 7 years of working in the industry and a fresh perspective to Northern California forestry as a first generation immigrant.

Quintana’s strength lies in a willingness to try new things and a unique talent for collaboration that inspires others to help. Her enthusiasm for reforestation is recognizable from her participation in the Forest Vegetation Management Conference and the CA Forest Pest Council where she explored new opportunities for fundraising and chaired the committee for the annual in-woods tour. Camila’s fluency in Spanish has fostered connections with the migrant reforestation workers and improves inclusiveness in California forestry.

In May 2025 she completed a Masters of Forest Resources at the University of Georgia with an emphasis on Forest Business. Attending the University of Georgia gave Quintana the foundational business skills used by premier timber companies and insight into forestry practices from the leading lumber producing region of the United States. The breadth and depth of Camila’s education and experience make her a valuable resource for forestland owners, professional foresters, and anyone else interested in the management of California’s forest resources.

Quintana is looking forward to working with forest landowners, registered professional foresters, agencies and others interested in forestry and natural resources. She is assigned to Shasta, Trinity and Siskiyou Counties and can be reached at the Shasta County Cooperative Extension office located in Redding. Her email address is caquintana@ucanr.edu and phone number is 530-224-4900.
