Leah J Sourbeer

Leah is the Program Supervisor for the EFNEP program in Alameda and Contra Costa counties. She was born and raised in Long Beach, CA and is a proud UC Berkeley grad. She began her career with 10+ years as a garden educator before joining the University of California Cooperative Extension and EFNEP in 2012. While with EFNEP, she worked as a Community Nutrition Educator before transitioning to the supervisor role. She comes from a long line of educators - her parents, stepparents, aunts, and uncles are all teachers! Her favorite vegetables are kale and home-grown tomatoes.
