Land Equity Project Manager


Sierra Reiss is the Land Equity Project Manager with UC Agriculture and Natural Resources, supporting the Climate-Smart Land Management Program. She leads outreach and partnerships for the Climate Action Land Equity (CALE) Project, advancing California’s vision for a resilient, equitable, and carbon-neutral future by addressing barriers to equitable land access and climate-smart land stewardship. Her work includes coordinating regional engagement with historically underrepresented land managers across Southern California, developing bilingual educational and outreach materials, and designing educational workshops that foster community connection, shared learning, and collaboration. Through these efforts, she supports climate resilience via community-driven partnerships, technical assistance, and capacity-building initiatives.

Sierra brings a background in environmental education, community engagement, and GIS storytelling. She holds a B.S. in Sustainability with a minor in Environmental Geography from San Diego State University, and is passionate about climate resilience, land justice, and empowering communities through education and outreach.
