About the Event
Join the UC Master Food Preservers for our "Spring into Preserving" workshop on May 23, serving residents across our multi-county region. This three-hour demonstration-style class will showcase how to capture the peak flavors of the season for fruits like strawberries, rhubarb, and cherries, and spring herbs. You will learn the essentials of water bath canning, dehydrating, and freezing through expert "show and tell" presentations of various techniques and finished products. Whether you’re new to the craft or looking to refresh your skills, come discover safe, research-based methods to fill your pantry with the best of spring.
When: Saturday, May 23rd, from 9am to 12pm (Check-in begins at 8:45 am; class starts promptly at 9:00.)
Fee: $5 (payable at the door by cash/check payable to UC Regents)
