Join us for a UC Master Food Preserver demonstration class designed especially for those who want to learn the basics of Boiling water canning in a clear, confidence-building way. Using a bright, tangy tomatillo relish, we’ll walk through each step of the process—from safe preparation and proper acidity to filling jars, processing, and checking seals.

You’ll also be introduced to other easy, tested relish recipe preparation and learn how versatile relishes are in everyday cooking.  Go home with tested recipes to try on your own.

Whether you’re brand new to canning or looking to expand your preserving skills, you’ll leave inspired, informed, and ready to relish every jar you make. This class focuses on food safety, simplicity, and success, so you can go home feeling comfortable trying boiling water canning on your own. No experience needed—just curiosity and a love of good food.
