UC Master Gardeners of San Diego County Liz Woodward and Jodi Bay present “Preserving Your Harvest: Best Practices for Handling and Storing the Produce From Your Garden for Optimal Freshness.” Using research-based guidance from the UC ANR, participants learn how proper postharvest care protects food quality, flavor and safety.
Liz Woodward and Jodi Bay have been UCCE Master Food Preservers since 2022. They enjoy the delight the public has when learning how to safely preserve their harvest for long-term storage. Liz is also a member of the Master Gardener Association of San Diego County class of 2010 and Jodi is a member of the class of 2012.
10 a.m. to noon - Grow Your Garden, where you can swap succulents, seeds, fruit, vegetables and herbs from your garden with your neighbors.
10:30 to 11:30 a.m. - Workshop, where you can learn new gardening techniques.
