About the Event

Join Mackenzie Patton, UCCE Integrated Pest Management Advisor for a presentation that will cover a variety of abiotic disorders, such as heat stress or nutrient deficiency, and vegetable diseases common in the Sacramento Valley and teach you how to tell the difference.

MacKenzie was raised in Dallas Texas suburbs. She received her bachelor’s in biology at the University of Texas in Tyler Texas where she studied under an entomologist. She moved to California for graduate school at UC Davis in Plant Pathology. Following graduation, she worked in the Viticulture and Enology department at Davis and at a private firm as a plant pathologist. Now she is the UCCE Integrated Pest Management Advisor for the Central Sierra Counties. In her free time, she likes to read books and go hiking with her husband and dog."
