Gardening for Year Round Meals: Seasonal Transition of Your Vegetable Garden
About the Event
Join Karen Slinkard, UC Master Gardener of Yolo County for Gardening for Year Round Meals. This month's talk will be on the seasonal transition of your vegetable garden. We will discus when to remove your summer plants and how to plant for the cooler season ahead. Karen will also give a demonstration on sharpening your hand pruners. Karen will share her experience from more than fifty years of gardening in Yolo County.
Grace Garden is behind the United Methodist Church, 1620 Anderson Road in Davis, California. Grace Garden is a volunteer-run, 5/8-acre garden that provides thousands of pounds of fresh produce to help feed the hungry every year. The garden also provides teaching and outreach to educate the community about gardening, the environment, and sustainable practices.
