About the Event

Growing Natives Garden Tour on April 18 & 19, 2026

The Growing Natives Garden Tour aims to educate the public about the beauty and importance of California native plants through an annual, self-guided, and free tour of private and public gardens. The tour promotes biodiversity and emphasizes the benefits of native plants for water and energy conservation.

This free, self-guided tour of native gardens is organized by the California Native Plant Society & UC Santa Clara Master Gardeners. There are dozens of gardens to choose from each day. The descriptions and photos on the GNGT site will help you narrow down which ones to visit, plus the lists of past gardens are a great resource year-round. Virtual visits for past years are also available.

  • Saturday, April 18: Southern part of Santa Clara County
  • Sunday, April 19: Northern part of Santa Clara County and southern part of San Mateo County
