About the Event

Did you know we’re lucky enough to be able to grow cool-season vegetables in Santa Clara County? It’s true! With our cool (but not cold) rainy season, we can grow all sorts of vegetables, including greens like lettuce, chard, and kale; cruciferous vegetables like broccoli and cauliflower; and root vegetables like beets, carrots, and radishes. Come learn what you can grow with Matt Hall, UC Master Gardener. He will go over the basics, such as soil, water, and fertilizing requirements, and show all of the different plants that do well here.
